currently happening with the
Orlando Runners Club as well as running
news, social events, races and 'happenings' in
Florida. Please forward this on to anyone that you

Orlando Runners Club.

again. We at the ORC wanted to get the RRCA Fund For
Hurricane Katrina Victims information verified
before we sent out this E-Letter.

1st ORC Challenge Series Race TOMORROW! |

The 1st ORC Challenge Series race for the
2005-2006 season is scheduled to start
tomorrow morning at 7:00 AM in downtown
Orlando. The exact location is on Robinson
Ave parallel to Lake Eola. Please click on
the link below for additional information.
The ORC race tent will be up. Please stop
by and say hello. Don't forget to wear your
Orlando Runners Club Shirts after the race
so show your support for the ORC.
Volunteers are needed to work the race.
If you are NOT running please come by and
help out. Please contact Judy Kennedy at
Judy.Kennedy@SIEMENS.com and let her know
you will be able to volunteer.
If you are running the race you can still
volunteer before or after the race. Your
help will be appreciated. Don't forget you
get volunteer points for the Challenge

Orlando Runners Club Invades France! |

Four members of the Orlando Runners Club
and two 'pit crew' members leave this
Wednesday September 7th to run the 'Marathon
du Medoc'. Fifty plus vineyards in 26.2
miles. Have fun and a glass or two of wine
for all of us!

2005-2006 ORC Challenge Series! |

The Orlando Runners Club 2005- 2006
'Challenge Series' of races has been
announced.
The 'ORC Challenge Series' rules: Must be
a current member of the ORC Run at least 3
of the 10 races Points are awarded based on
how you finish within your age group 20
volunteer points maximum. This includes the
10 points for the 'Outback 12K'
The 'Challenge Series'

NEW ORC '12 Pack' Series A Big Success!! |

In addition to the ORC Challenge Series,
the Orlando Runners Club is teaming up with
Michelob Ultra for the '12 Pack' Race
Series. This is a new and fun way to add to
your running and racing experience with the
Orlando Runners Club. Good Luck to all!
The rules are as follows: Must be
a current member of the ORC Run 12 races of
12 different distances August 1, 2005 - June
30, 2006 (11 Months) Race can be run
ANYWHERE in world Submit actual results to
the ORC You can change races & times as many
times as you like All results due July 5,
2006 (NO EXCEPTIONS) All ORC members who
finish all 12 distances receive an award
Overall Male & Female combined times receive
an award
The race distances are: 5K Road 5K
Off Road 8K 5 Miles 10K 12K 15K 10 Miles 20K
1/2 Marathon 30K Marathon

know. We would like to follow your progress
and follow-up on how you did.

Runners Club Website very soon! We are
working on a few 'bugs' within the site as

RRCA Fund For Hurricane Katrina Victims!

The RRCA (Road Runners Club Of America) to
which the Orlando Runners Club is a member
has set up a fund to help our running club
members on the Gulf Coast. If you would like
to donate please click on the link below.
This is a tax deductible donation that
will help a countless number of people who
really need it now. Please make your
donation in the name of the Orlando Runners
Club per the RRCA instructions.
