The ORC has two competitions for club members. The long-standing Challenge Series awards points for placing in your age group in designated races. The Race to Win competition promotes distance, at any speed. Points are awarded just for finishing, whether first last or somewhere in the middle. The ORC Challenge is a race series comprised of ten selected events throughout the season. It's intent is to promote friendly competition and camaraderie between club members. Results will be available on this website. Listed below is the schedule for the 2009-2010 season. 2009

The ORC is continuing the Race to Win club competition, with a new award for number of events. This program rewards runners not for finishing first, just for finishing. Anyone can win, whether you are first or last, as long as you are an ORC member and make it to the finish line. Each mile of racing earns a point, and at the end of the year (July 1 - June 30) we will recognize the top male and female with the most points and the most total events. For full details, click here. Races and points are not recorded automatically. Each participant is responsible for timely reporting his or her own races to the Race to Win Scorekeeper within 30 days of the race. Grace period for reporting all July and August races is September 30th. So send in your results now.
